It's also hard when you are limited to so few things! But luckily I wasn't craving chocolate, grilled chicken, or cereal - nope, I was craving organic brown rice cakes! I think it is because I was really wanting something crunchy and hard. Not crunchy like lettuce (I have plenty of that!) but like rice cakes ; )
Tomorrow I still have the very constricted diet - but it is my last day of this phase of the detox - and this really is the hardest part! Then on day 8 (Tuesday) I get to "continue to eat fruits and vegetables. Raw or lightly steamed, low glycemic, and preferably organic. For most efficient results, take one green vegetable and eat as much as you would like." (direct quote from Kassie's directions : )
I am excited to eat asparagus..... mmmmm..... and green beans. And a potato - now I just need to get through tomorrow!!!!
On another note, Dan's Grandpa Ed passed away yesterday. He was 90 years old! I am so thankful I was able to meet Grandpa Ed on a few occasions - we were especially honored to have him at our wedding almost two years ago! We thank God for his life and time with us. Prayers for Dan's family (his dad's dad) and Dan too would be great.
Well - I am pretty tired... I am gonna head downstairs and get ready for bed! I feel like it's 2am - but only 10pm!
Have a great night all - we love you!
~Karin (and always, Dan : )
