A BerDumke Classic - Caramel Pull-Aparts! {aka - Monkey Bread!}

Growing up in the Dumke house hold you knew it was a special day when mom or dad pulled out the blue cook book.  Yup - the BLUE one : )  It was a combination of recipes from a Lutheran Church in MN - which of course - many of our favorite recipes came from : )

Anyways - if that one came out of the cupboard - you knew it was either Caramel Pull-Aparts or Sweedish Pancakes.  Well - today I made another round of fabulous of these bad boys : )

But why did I call this a BerDumke classic?  Because in the Berdal household, Monkey Bread was Dan's birthday morning breakfast tradition growing up : )  So we both have a high affinity for this stuff.  This delicious, super-not-healthy stuff.

In the month of March my goal is to make and photograph five meals/foods/baked goods each week - because I have a cook book to make baby!

So - enjoy the pictures - and when the cookbook is out - you can have the recipe too ; )

I prefer to use Trader Joe's canned biscuits - they don't have hydrogenated oils or aluminum in them - : )

It's Shake-n-Bake  - and I helped!  But really - this was the most fun part growing up - other than eating it!

But don't waste the sugar....

Use it for your yummy caramel ingredients.... Mmmmm....

Don't boil it too hot though! I've done that one a handful of times ; )

and fifteen looong minutes later.....

Perfection!

Just don't eat to many though..... you will probably get a sugar high....  Like I just did....

But it is soooooo incredibly worth it if you do!

Happy baking, cooking trying and inventing new delicious things!
